The Cleaning Book Clean til' it gleams

The Kitchen: The microwave

The kitchen – The microwave

The microwave is a source of heating all types of food fast, for cooking small meals and even for thawing out foods. Cooking and thawing in the microwave can leave you with a mess inside if you don’t take the time to clean it out.

When cooking in the microwave, you will cut back cleaning times when you cover all foods that are put in the microwave with plastic or at very least a paper towel. If you forget to cover something, you should wipe it out after using the microwave.

Every time you ‘do up’ the dishes, wiping out the inside of the microwave is going to take just ten seconds but it can cut back minutes in your deep cleaning needs weekly and monthly. The splatters and baked on foods in the microwave not wiped out daily become more difficult to remove as time goes on.

Simply using hot soapy water or your favorite cleaners, you can keep your microwave in top working order for years to come. Microwaves not cleaned often can become hazardous when grease, sauces, and oils build up inside the microwave.

All types of food splatters and baked on food inside the microwave can cause odors in the kitchen. Cut back odors by keeping your microwave clean! Wiping out the microwave everyday is going to keep it running more efficiently in the long run, which will save you money!

Be sure not to use a metal scrubbing pad in the microware. Small pieces of the brillo pad that happen to fall off in the microware can cause sparks and start a fire when the microwave is turned back on in use.
