The Hallway: Overview |
|||
The hallway - OverviewYour hallway is most likely one of the cleaner rooms in the house, but it still needs a little attention every week to prevent deep down dirt from taking hold in your hallway. The hallway is an extension of the entry to your home. Walking in the hallway, try to imagine you are looking at it for the first time. What do you see when you have all the lights on? Are you seeing the dirt marks going down the walls where the kids rub their hands? Do you see the dust settled on the baseboards? Does your light fixture look like flies land there for living leaving it spotted? Do you see scuff marks on the flooring or what is on the walls? You will need to sweep your hallway daily or at least every other day to keep dirt from traveling further into your home. The dirt that travels from the entryway to the hallway or even from the kitchen into the hallway will stay in the carpet. Vacuuming often will keep it fresh and clean looking and it only takes a few minutes! If you are busy making supper, have your spouse or the children take a minute and they can sweep the entryway. This is a room, that your children can easily complete, as a part of their chores, or you could ask your spouse to run the vacuum while you clean up the dishes because it is fast and a quick chore that no one will really seem to mind. |
