The Cleaning Book Clean til' it gleams

Outside of your home: Windows

Outside - Windows

The exterior of your home is starting to look good! The windows are one of the ‘things’ you will need to clean up and spruce up before heading in for lunch. If your windows are dirty, you might want to actually do your windows before having the siding cleaned.

You will need to wipe down the exterior windows and the woodwork surrounding the windows. If you have wood on the outside of your home that needs replaced, painted, or repaired, this is a good time to tackle this task as well. Prevention and up keep on your home is something you can do while cleaning the exterior of the home.

You will find that one good thing about prevention and repairs is that it is not something that you have to do every year, but when it needs done, it needs done.

Washing the outside of your windows or siding is done easily if you have a hose.  On any regular garden hose there are many types of attachments that you can put on your hose to make it spray further, clean quicker, and to cut through tough grime.

While you are cleaning and looking at the windows from the outside of your home, what does your curtains, blinds or lack of curtains look like from the outside of your home? If you don’t like the colors clashing with the siding of the house, of if you can see directly into your bathroom, you should consider changing the curtains in that room.
