Living room: Cleaning electronics |
||
Living room –Cleaning electronicsYour electronics in the living room are going to need cleaned often to keep them in perfect condition. Electronics that are covered with dust can suck that dust into the working portions of the machine and cause shorts in the circuitry and the electronic equipment will not ‘work’ or perform, as you would expect. Electronics are going to need cleaned from the exterior, using some type of cleaning rag or wet pad that is going to pick up the dirt and dust without pushing it into the electronic item. Lightly vacuuming can help prevent dust from going into the circuitry. Most all electronics will suffer from static so you have to be careful in how you use your vacuum or other types of cleaning when involving electronics.On the topic of electronics, it is important to remember that the backs of the television, the top of the satellite or cable box, the vcr or dvd player where the vents are located need to be away from the wall and left uncovered. If you cover the vents of your electronics, the item will over heat and could cause damages that are beyond repair. To prolong the life of your electronics be sure to keep the vents uncovered and free from papers or other things that could be stacked up against them. To clean the portions of your electronics, like the back of the television, where there are ridges along the vents, you can use a toothbrush to brush the dust away from the vent and out of the smallest cracks. |
