The Kitchen: The center of your life

The kitchen – The center of your life

Your day starts by heading to the kitchen, and often ends with turning out the lights in the kitchen area at the end of your day. One of the dirtiest rooms in your home can be the kitchen just because you spend so much time in it.

Look at the kitchen in this photograph. As you see, it is a mess. This is not a kitchen ready for company let alone to start making dinner. Let’s get to work and learn how to be more clean, creatively organized and ‘put together’ this kitchen.

You don’t have to feel overwhelmed every time you walk into the kitchen – you can have a clean kitchen, a well organized kitchen that will give you more time ‘to do’ other things in your life using a few of my tips.

Your kitchen is a center of attention when your parents come for coffee, when you are cooking dinner after work, and in the morning when you are sending your family off to face their day. An organized, clean, and well-stocked kitchen is going to keep your life running smoothly.

What are the three biggest things you can do for yourself to keep your kitchen cleaner longer after each deep cleaning session? The first is going to be wiping up after spills as they happen. The second is going to be, keep your mail, papers and stuff that comes and goes from the house from stopping and landing in your kitchen. Many message centers in the kitchen make the kitchen look full and disorganized, eliminating the kitchen message area makes the entire area more organized. Finally, just doing your dishes and sweeping the floor after every evening meal is going to keep your kitchen in tip top shape, clean and odor free!
