The kitchen – CabinetsAbove the Cabinets The areas above your cabinets is really only going to be on your deep cleaning list, unless you are in the mood to rearrange this area. Some of you might have bulkheads above your cabinets with out the extra display or storage space so you can skip this part of the book. If you have space above the cabinets that you decorate, use as storage or display, your items will occasionally needed dusted and cleaned. Grease and grime from all the cooking in your kitchen can leave layers of yuck on your goodies above the cabinets so be sure you are only displaying items that are washable, some collectibles can’t be washed without harming them so you might not want to keep them up here. When you are deep cleaning you are going to have to clean about the cabinets with some type of wood cleaner or kitchen grease cutter. The grease from cooking that floats in the air will accumulate in the area above your cabinets. Wiping it down will cut the grease and freshen your house at the same time. In the Cabinets There are two types of cleaning, deep cleaning, and your spot cleaning. The purpose of this book is to teach you all about deep cleaning and then how to spot clean so you do not have to deep clean (and spend all that extra time) as often! Cleaning in your cabinets, all through your cabinets is one of those deep-cleaning tasks that you will have to tackle all at one time. Taking every thing out of your cabinets and cleaning with a good wood polish or a degreaser is going to clean up the inside of your cabinets fast. While you have everything out of your cabinets, you can clean and wash all the items in your cabinets that you only use occasionally that needs cleaned. While cleaning the cabinets, it is also the optimal time to weed out and pitch out things that you do not use too often. |
