Cutting boards are a breeding place for germs and bacteria. The cutting board is going to be one of your ‘as you use it’ you need to clean it items. There really isn’t any need for a deep clean on the cutting board unless you keep your cutting board stored near the floor. A cutting board should be stored on the counter setting horizontal or vertical, but when it is near the floor, it can attract even more germs and bacteria.
Cleaning the cutting board with hot soapy water, vinegar and water, bleach and water or your favorite kitchen cleaner is recommended after each use.
